NEA Task 21 (Planning) : Photography Planning

Models: Will use whoever is most practical at the time of the photographs being taken, for now the top candidates are myself, a female friend and a friend of a different ethnicity to whoever the other model happens to be - this means, depending on which models end up being cast, at least two social groups will be represented across the front covers (there will be representativeness in terms of sex, ethnicity or both).

Location: The most likely location the photographs will be taken will be indoors as there is more control over variables such as the background, scenery and lighting. The editing of the photograph into the magazine cover will also be more practical as the background is likely to be less busy and so text will be more visible over a blander background. However, dependent on the weather, some outdoor photography may prove to be more visually pleasing.

Props: Minimal props will be used, a tall stool or a directors chair (if possible to acquire) at most.

Body Language: Body language will be quite relaxed, but still professional, The Silver Screen having a serious but passionate tone to it, this wants to be translated through the photography.

Lighting: Will most likely lower the exposure when taking the photographs resulting in dark backgrounds and downlighting will be utilized to both keep a serious tone and make editing simpler and text will be far more visible on a mostly monochrome background. (this may change if photographs are done outdoors).

Photographs will be taken by myself or the next best photographer if of course i must be used as a model.
